Management

Aleks is a real estate development executive with over 25 years of experience at both public and private development companies. He currently serves as President and managing partner of a private Los Angeles-based development and investment platform. In his capacity as President, Aleks manages a 1.5M SQFT industrial portfolio in California and Texas, residential infill developments across California, and a portfolio of value-add multi-family assets across the United States. In his prior role as Executive Vice President at one the largest private development companies in Los Angeles, Aleks was responsible for land acquisition, forward planning, entitlements, land development and construction for projects, including several master planned communities, urban infill housing, and single-family detached communities, totaling more than 3000 units in Southern and Central California. Aleks also practiced as an architect and builder in the Bay Area for several years and was the founding partner of East Bay Design and Architecture in Berkeley, CA.

In parallel, Aleks has taught for over 15 years at the undergraduate and graduate levels in environmental design, architecture and real estate development at UC Berkeley, UCLA and at the University of Southern California, where he is an adjunct professor at The Price School of Policy, Planning and Development. Aleks served on the Political Action Committee and Governing Board of the Building Industry Association of Southern California for many years and served a 2-year term as President of the Los Angeles Chapter. He also served as a member of the Los Angeles Urban Land Institute Housing Committee.

Aleks received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Master of Architecture from UC Berkeley, and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.
